Black Thrive CommUNITY Event
Black Thrive Lambeth are a locally based organisation supporting our local Black communities to thrive!
Black Thrive chose Lambeth Town Hall for their CommUNITY event because it is a recognisable landmark and they felt that the venue had an excellent reputation for hosting large events.
Therefore, on 18th September 2021 - with some restrictions still in place - VenueLambeth hosted a covid-safe community event in The Assembly Hall, and also made use of our other beautiful and practical spaces such as Event Suite 16, The Outside Courtyard and our Community Rooms.
The event organisers curated an engaging and varied programme with presentations, facilitation, workshops and filming, a marketplace to showcase local small businesses and plenty of entertainment including a magician, facepainting, music and dancing.
We offered the use of the Assembly Hall for the afternoon before their event to ensure they had a smooth set up, and Black Thrive were grateful for the opportunity to access the venue as it enabled them to set up with plenty of time, giving their team an opportunity to finalise their layout and decorations, understand the various health and safety processes, and facilitated a full technical run-through ahead of the event.
With delicious food supplied by Deli Jerk Centre (Eden Organics), Black Thrive provided a wide range of Caribbean food, including vegan options for their guests. Eden Organics are one of our many fantastic accredited local caterers. Black Thrive commented that they were extremely professional and organised.
